Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure what budget will be available from the City Deal to expand and extend the Glider system.

Answer:

The Glider has been a great success in encouraging more people onto public transport and in reducing carbon emissions along Belfast Rapid Transit routes. I want to build on this success and am currently exploring what options are available to extend the service to North and South Belfast. Outline Business Cases for all projects are to be submitted by spring 2020, to allow Belfast Region City Deal partners to consider priorities and funding. The approval to extend Belfast Rapid Transit and the budget to deliver it will also be subject to Executive approval.
