Question:
To ask the Minister of Health what changes he intends to bring forward concerning the inspection of dental practices, with a view to bringing practice in line with the rest of the UK.

Answer:

My Department is reviewing The Regulation and Improvement Authority (Fees and Frequency of Inspections) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005, these regulations set the minimum frequency for statutory inspections.

My Department is also reviewing the Health and Social Services (Quality, Improvement and Regulation) (Northern Ireland) Order 2003 and considering the principles behind, and the approach to, regulation itself.
