To ask the Minister of Education what proposals his Department has to improve workforce planning to ensure a sufficient number of Children’s Welfare Officers are in post.

Answer:

The Education Authority routinely monitors the number of staff in the Education Welfare Service and makes planned adjustments on the basis of assessed need and geographical areas.
