Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance what proportion of households currently pay domestic rates bills in instalments via Direct Debit.

Answer:

As at 1st March 2020, 51.1% of domestic occupancies pay their rate bill via Direct Debit where an occupancy represents a liable ratepayer at a property at a given time. Housing Executive and Housing Association domestic properties are not included in this figure as the rates on these properties are paid through a different process.
