To ask the Minister of Finance whether he intends to legislate to remove discrimination from public service schemes made under the Public Service Pensions Act (Northern Ireland) 2014 from April 2015, further to the McCloud Judgement.

Answer:

To fully remove discrimination from the devolved public service pension schemes whilst also ensuring that scheme members can keep benefits that they have earned to date, is expected to require changes to the Public Service Pensions Act (Northern Ireland) 2014.
