Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy whether the sole employee of a business who is the company director or owner of that business, and is not paid through PAYE, is able to access the NI Micro-Business Hardship Fund.

Answer:
A key criteria for eligibility of the NI Micro-Business Hardship Fund is that, at 29 February 2020, the business must have employed between one and nine employees paid via PAYE. Businesses where the sole employee is the business owner or company director are not eligible for this scheme.
