Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities to outline the criteria under which the COVID-19 Charities Fund will be allocated.

Answer:

The Covid-19 Charities Fund is being delivered by the National Lottery Community Fund. Eligible applications will be assessed using a two-step process to consider the extent of financial need and the impact of their charitable activity to reach an assessment. Decision makers will also take into consideration the key aim of the Fund which is to ensure that a balanced charitable sector, representative of the diverse interests and needs of citizens, and geographic spread, remain in place after the crisis has passed.
