To ask the Minister for the Economy for a weekly breakdown of the number redundancies and redundancy consultations, notified to the Department since the beginning of 2020.
Answer:
The Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) collects redundancy notifications on behalf of the Department for the Economy. Since the beginning of January 2020, the Department has been notified of 3530 proposed redundancies, originating from 33 different notifications. The table below gives a breakdown of these notifications over the year to date. In order to preserve confidentiality, data has been combined into 4 week bands so that no individual returns can be identified.
