Question:
To ask the Minister of Health for an update on the guidance being introduced for social workers to identify incidents of Parental Alienation as part of the cross-party Parenting and Family Support Strategy, particularly given the access difficulties some parents have had during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Answer:

Work on the development of Family and Parenting Support Strategy has been temporarily suspended to support the Department’s immediate response to the coronavirus pandemic. The Department will progress the development of the Strategy as soon as possible and will consider the impact of the pandemic on parental alienation and separated families.
