Question:
To ask the Minister of Health, pursuant to AQW 5336/17-22, whether staff are recruited directly by his Department, or by an agency.

Answer:

The National Testing Programme is managed by the Department of Health and Social Care, London (DHSC). DHSC hold the contract with Serco to provide management service at test sites across the UK, including all Pillar 2 testing in Northern Ireland. Serco is responsible for the recruitment of staff at all test sites.

The National Testing Programme is delivered locally in partnership with my Department and with the Public Health Agency.
