Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to detail his Department’s plans to ensure a sustainable supply of clear face masks for health and social care services.

Answer:

Northern Ireland has also been allocated 8,640 clear masks as part of the UK Make pilot scheme (AQW6653/17-22 refers). If deemed successful further orders will follow with Northern Ireland benefitting proportionately.

The Business Services Organisation has commenced work to secure a supply of clear masks for the longer term. An expression of interest will be placed on the Dynamic Purchasing System in coming weeks.
