Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail any discussions he has had with CCEA regarding qualification specifications and exams for academic year 2020/21.

Answer:

My officials have been working closely with CCEA throughout the summer as proposals for examinations in 2021 were developed, and are continuing to work with CCEA to take account of the feedback from the recent public consultation. I also met with the Chair of CCEA Council on 17 September. Careful consideration is being given, as a matter of urgency, to the views expressed during the consultation before final decisions are taken.
