To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs when his Department will be issuing the discussion document aimed at collecting stakeholder views on how we should deal with environmental plans, principles and governance in the future.

Answer:

The Discussion Document on Plans, Principles and Governance was scheduled for publication on the DAERA website and the Citizen Space consultation platform on 12 October 2020 but has been postponed to allow officials to provide further briefing to the Committee for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs. The discussion document will issue as soon as it is practicable to do so.
