Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy what actions she will take in response to the Northern Ireland Audit Office report into the Northern Ireland Renewables Obligation scheme, which identifies a significant risk that some investors may be achieving a higher financial return than was required to encourage the adoption of the various supported technologies.

Answer:

Of the six recommendations in the report, three are specifically for my Department, including a recommendation to carry out a review of the levels of support available and rates of return for renewable electricity generators. The Department has accepted these recommendations and will ensure they are addressed going forward.
