To ask the Minister of Education, pursuant to answer AQW 9998/17-22, whether he will be making a bid for a budget for both a childcare strategy and funding to provide childcare support across Northern Ireland.

Answer:

I have put forward funding bids to the Department of Finance for the Childcare Strategy for the next three years.

The costs associated with the Childcare Strategy and profile of expenditure will be dependent on Executive decisions regarding its scope, scale and the pace of implementation.
