Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities, following her statement to the Assembly on 17 November 202, regarding the Discretionary Support Self-Isolation Grant, whether she is considering options for Universal Basic Income level to be brought into Northern Ireland.

Answer:
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, there have been a number of measures introduced to build on and strengthen the social security system to protect the health, welfare and wellbeing of all of the people here and to take timely decisions in our efforts to mitigate the impact of COVID-19.
Due to the challenging circumstances that we are all operating in at present, there has been a need to be responsive to a fast moving and ever-changing situation.
