Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs what proportion of municipal waste is (i) incinerated; and (ii) recycled.

Answer:

The proportion of local authority collected municipal waste sent for incineration (with energy recovery) in 2019-20 was 22.1%. Whilst the proportion of local authority collected municipal waste sent for recycling in 2019-20 was 51.1%.
