Question:
To ask the Minister of Health whether the work of the Chief Nursing Officer on the banding issue around bands five and six will be completed in time to enable the raising of intensive care unit nurses to band six no later than the end of the current financial year.

Answer:

It has been agreed that the interim arrangements put in place for the temporary uplift from Band 5-6 for critical care nurses will be extended for a further six months until 30th September 2021 as part of the ongoing Covid response. Additional funding has been secured.
