Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance whether returned non domestic rates relief granted to large supermarkets will go to his Department as opposed to HM Treasury; and whether it will have to be spent in 2020/21 financial year.

Answer:
The current plan is for this money to be repaid to the Treasury for redistribution to the devolved administrations. LPS will provide the information required to Treasury on the amounts for redistribution to my Department. The timetable for redistribution has yet to be agreed; therefore, it is not yet known if the money will have to be spent in the 2020/21 financial year.
