Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities for her assessment of the need for a ban on fox hunting for sport.

Answer:

Country sport activities such as hunting are not recognised by Sport NI as sports and as such do not fall within the remit of my Department. This policy area has previously been taken forward by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs due to the animal welfare aspect of the issue.
