Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail the grades and experience of (i) NICS staff; and (ii) non-NICS personnel who will sit on the recruitment panel for the Chair and the other panel members of the Independent Review of Education.

Answer:

My Department is currently working with the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointment (OCPANI) to finalise arrangements for the recruitment process, expected to commence in January 2021.

The recruitment panel is expected to include Senior Officials from a number of Departments including the Department of Education.

The selection panel will also include an Independent Assessor allocated by OCPANI.

Selection panel members will be fully briefed on the work of the Review and the Commissioner’s Code of Practice and will have received appropriate training.
