To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether her Department has given consideration to offering resource grant funding to local councils for active travel initiatives in addition to the capital funding available.

Answer:

My Department is operating with a very limited resource funding budget and so my officials are working to explore options to assist Councils in progressing active travel initiatives through capital funding, particularly through the £20 million allocated for Blue Green infrastructure.
