Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance when he proposes to add regularly published magazines to the same rate of rates relief and support as newspapers.

Answer:

I took action to support the production of our local newspapers as they are a key part of the fabric of society and reflect the local community. These newspapers have experienced a significant loss of income as a result of the pandemic. I have no plans to add magazines to the business rate support. This scheme is similar to the support in place in Scotland.
