Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities for an update on the South West Gateway Masterplan, proposed for Belfast in 2015.

Answer:

The South West Gateway Masterplan was published by the Department for Communities in December 2016 under the title of ‘Transformation South/West’ (TS/W). The TS/W Masterplan was commissioned by the Department, with the principal aim to provide a strategic vision for the South West Belfast area; thereby informing future investment and policy decision making.

The Masterplan has outlined a number of recommendations and whilst my Department has not been tasked with leading on any specific actions my officials are available to work closely with other stakeholders to assist with the delivery of the recommendations outlined within the plan.
