Question:
To ask the Minister of Health whether dentists and dental surgery staff will receive the £500 healthcare recognition payment.

Answer:

The recently announced scheme for bonus recognition payments will, subject to the meeting of certain eligibility criteria, extend to all health and care staff that have worked and contributed to delivering health and care services during the pandemic. This includes GDS Dentists and dental teams, including administrative staff and practice managers.

My officials are now working with the Health and Social Care Board and will work with all relevant professional representative bodies to finalise the details of the scheme. This will include details on how the bonus scheme will be implemented.
