Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities what consideration she has given to the advice from the Independent Scientific Advisory Group when looking at the welfare mitigation review.

Answer:

I can advise that the proposals are currently under consideration by officials. The Department will need to carefully consider the legal and operational challenges and the projected cost of delivering the proposed payment scheme, which will need to consider any operational costs.

Considerations will be separate from the upcoming welfare mitigations review, which will focus on the feasibility of introducing new mitigation measures.
