Question:
To ask the Minister of Health what verification processes are in place for those booking COVID-19 vaccination online under category of Carer of an older person or someone with underlying health conditions.

Answer:

The Member will be aware that persons identifying as carers now access vaccination by contacting the relevant Trust care co-ordinator who records their details and arranges a vaccination appointment where appropriate.

The roll out of the vaccination programme to carers took place after close consultation with carers groups and is designed to allow as many carers, paid and voluntary, to access vaccination with the minimum of bureaucracy.
