Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance to detail the estimated the cost of paying the entirety of the contributions that the employers of furloughed workers are obliged to pay, such as National Insurance and pensions contributions.

Answer:

My Department does not have access to the taxpayer data required to make such an estimate. This would be a matter for HMRC which administers the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme and holds this information.
