To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to detail the work being undertaken by his Department to protect the natural environment and wildlife at Portavoe Reservoir.

Answer:

My Department does not have ongoing site-specific involvement in relation to protection of wildlife at Portavoe, although NIEA officers visited the site last autumn, and gave general advice to land managers about maintaining biodiversity on site.
