To ask the Minister of Health how many patients accessing Health and Social Care services are prescribed cannabis medicines; and how many residents of Northern Ireland are known to be on prescriptions for cannabis medicines via the Independent Sector.

Answer:

There were 188 patients accessing Health and Social Care services who were prescribed cannabis medicines between 1st January and 31st December 2020.

It is not known how many residents of Northern Ireland are on prescriptions for cannabis medicines via the Independent Sector.
