Question:
To ask the Minister of Health for an update of the Gender Identity Pathway Review Group, including the timescale for the completion of its work.

Answer:

The work of the Gender Identity Pathway Review Group was paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It has resumed its work and it is expected that the Review Group will, by September 2021, submit a report that will include options and recommendations for a new service model for consideration by my Department.

In addition, the Review Group has recently established a Service User Liaison Panel to assist the group in taking forward its work. The panel comprises 21 service users. The Service User Liaison Panel has already met twice with a third meeting to be confirmed shortly.
