Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail the number of Covid Restrictions Business Support Scheme appeals (i) submitted; and (ii) that have been successful.


Answer:
The Covid Restrictions Business Support Scheme (Part A & B) has received a total of 8,415 applications. From this 251 have progressed to appeal as at 26 April 2021 – a breakdown is provided in the table below.
Invest NI considers each appeal on its individual merit and endeavours to resolve each in a timely manner. Most appeals relate to eligibility as per the Scheme Guidance, insufficient evidence supplied with original application, late applications, and grant amount awarded.
