Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for her assessment of whether Translink and the DVA will retain sufficient reserves following the £20m allocation she received from the Minister for Finance, announced on 20 May 2021.

Answer:
The £20m allocation to address lost income due to Covid goes some way to support provision of these services as we continue on the Pathway to Recovery from COVID-19, but significantly more is needed. A further £42.8m is required to address the impact of Covid on my Department.
Current estimates are that without additional funding, Translink cash reserves will reach critical levels towards the end of this financial year and DVA may need to use its reserves to meet the shortfall in income.
