Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on the compilation of the feasibility study for Phase 3 Derry-Londonderry to Coleraine rail line upgrade.

Answer:

Work on the feasibility study is ongoing with a number of topographical and pilot studies underway and the report is still on schedule to be completed by November 2021. A full business case will then be prepared and submitted to me in spring 2022. This will ensure that all future spend is fully informed by a robust business case and that there is high-level assurance on costs and on risk and benefit realisation.
