Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities what actions she is taking to address the concerns of the arts sector in relation to Brexit and freedom of movement within the Common Travel Area and Europe.

Answer:

Artists need access to accurate information on the requirements, processes and costs associated with touring. The Arts Council is working with colleagues to provide comprehensive guidance, including practical issues such as visas and taxation, and potentially financial support to offset some of the additional costs involved where reciprocal arrangements with other Member States cannot be put in place.

The Culture, Arts and Heritage Taskforce will also examine any concerns from the sector, along with potential solutions and mitigations for the medium to longer term.
