To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs for a breakdown of the funding that has been set aside by his Department to implement the forthcoming Peatland Strategy for Northern Ireland.

Answer:

The draft Northern Ireland Peatland Strategy document is currently the subject of a public consultation which will run until the 1st September 2021. Until the agreed Peatland Strategy and an implementation plan have been published, it is too early to determine the level of budget required.
