To ask the Minister of Health whether a person of pensionable age that receives financial assistance with dental treatment is entitled to a similar level of support with private dentistry providers.

Answer:

Assistance with dental health costs only applies to Health Service treatment. Therefore, an individual who qualifies for assistance with dental health costs cannot receive support if they choose to receive private care rather than Health Service care.
