Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance when the next review of domestic rates will be completed.

Answer:

I will continue to keep domestic rates under close scrutiny as we emerge from the pandemic. The domestic regional rate has been frozen for the last two years to help ratepayers.

As you are aware rates are one of the few revenue raising powers available to the Executive to generate funding for vital public services. I have established a Fiscal Commission to examine the case for increasing the fiscal powers available to us.
