Question:
To ask the Minister of Health to outline the reasons for the delay in producing a system for proving COVID-19 vaccination status, in comparison to the rest of the UK and Europe.

Answer:

I can confirm that work is underway by Departmental officials on the provision of a Covid Certificate Scheme, compliant with EU and WHO information exchange standards. I provided full details of this work in my response to AQO Assembly Question (Oral) AQO 2336/17-22, including the challenges in meeting data protection and cyber security standards.
