To ask the Minister of Health for his assessment of the need to expand the official symptoms list of COVID-19, to allow for wider testing of potential cases.

Answer:

The case definition for COVID-19 is subject to ongoing review and consideration at national level. Any change in the formal case definition will be based on an agreed position as advised by the four UK Chief Medical Officers.

There are no immediate plans to announce changes to the formal case definition for COVID-19.
