To ask the Minister of Health, pursuant to AQW 20546/17-22, what action is being taken to improve the take-up of Pancreatic Enzyme Replacement Therapy among people with pancreatic cancer.

Answer:

The take-up of Pancreatic Enzyme Replacement amongst patients with pancreatic cancer is usually initiated on the basis specialist clinical advice. The Health and Social Care Board have advised that they are unaware of anything contentious with the take up and/or availability of pancreatic enzyme replacement therapies at this time.
