Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister when the strategy on addressing violence against women and girls will be put out to consultation.

Answer:
The Head of the Civil Service has engaged with all departments to understand in more detail the relevant work already underway. Much work, for example, is already ongoing in the Department of Justice and the Department for Communities to address violence against women and girls and gender bias.
There has also been engagement with Women’s Aid both at Ministerial and official level to inform our approach to developing the Strategy.
We are currently considering the scope and approach to developing the Strategy. A public consultation would of course form part of the development process but it is not yet possible to give a timeline for the process.
