Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance to detail the sick pay policy arrangements for those working in the Civil Service who are absent from work for extended periods due to Long Covid.

Answer:

Long covid or post covid syndrome is a viral illness which for some people can cause symptoms (physical and psychological) which last for weeks / months after the acute illness. This absence is managed in accordance with the Civil Service sickness absence policies in the NICS Staff Handbook.
