Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure pursuant to AQW 14438 /17-22, to outline the reasons for delay in bringing forward recommendations concerning change in the Roads (Miscellaneous Provision) Act (Northern Ireland) 2010.

Answer:

The exercise to gather views and data relating to the operation of the Roads (Miscellaneous Provision) Act (Northern Ireland) 2010, resulted in almost 800 responses to the Department’s online questionnaire, along with 14 pieces of correspondence. As indicated in the response to AQW 14438/17-22, the analysis of this significant amount of information was completed earlier this year however during the drafting of the Departmental Response a further issue related to cycle races was raised with me that required further consideration by officials. As soon as I am in a position to be able to do so, I will make these reports publically available.
