To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, pursuant to AQW 19957/17-22, for an update on vehicle access and the pedestrianisation of Hill Street and Gordon Street in Belfast City Centre.

Answer:

My officials are continuing to work with the Cathedral Quarter BID and Belfast City Council to facilitate engagement on proposals for an improved environment for all who use Hill Street and Gordon Street. It continues to provide difficult to get consensus among local businesses on the way forward. I expect to be in a position to provide a further update in October 2021.
