Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to outline whether a review of departmental policy on speed limits will be included as part of forthcoming new Road Safety Strategy.

Answer:

As you will be aware from my response to AQW 18715/17-22, work has been progressing on the development of the new Road Safety Strategy. My officials have recently completed a pre-consultation engagement exercise with key stakeholders and analysis of the information gathered is ongoing.

A draft Road Safety Strategy will be subject to a formal consultation process in the autumn, following which the Strategy will be finalised, taking into account advice provided by my officials and the feedback from the consultation.
