Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister, in light of COVID-19, what further financial support will they provide to Northern Ireland travel agents.

Answer:

The Department for the Economy has taken the lead in delivering a range of business grant support schemes since the beginning of the pandemic. In addition, DfE has published a comprehensive Economic Recovery Action Plan, which the Executive has funded in full for this financial year.

This Plan includes a number of interventions aimed at supporting the travel and tourism sector, such as the ‘Holiday at Home’ scheme.

It will be for the Executive collectively to determine how any funding is allocated as we progress through the roadmap and the lifting of restrictions.
