Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities (i) for her assessment of fees for landlords with Houses in Multiple Occupancy; and (ii) what consideration she has given to revising such fees to encourage more landlords to open up their accommodation for students.

Answer:
The fees for licencing a House in Multiple Occupation are set at £37 per tenant per year. The licence is usually for a term of 5 years. The fees have been set at this level as the scheme was designed to be self-funding. The fees are kept under review.
