Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on the review of the Community Transport Section 10b permit and the potential introduction of a Section 22 permit, to enable connectivity in rural areas where Translink services are not regular or provided.

Answer:
There have been developments in Great Britain in respect of licensing requirements for non-profit making bodies. These developments include guidance relating to the recent Judgement on the meaning of non-commercial. My officials have considered the GB position and are currently preparing guidance for the issuers and users of Section 10B permits.
There are no plans at present regarding the introduction of Section 22 bus service permits but I am conscious of the need to support our local communities and provide social and welfare connectivity.
