To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on the planning review for renewable energy, including her plans for consultation with industry.

Answer:

Following my announcement on 21 April 2021 to review strategic planning policy on renewable & low carbon energy, my officials have been progressing the necessary work in line with established policy making best practice. My Department intends to undertake engagement with key stakeholders, including industry representatives, in the autumn.
